On Angels’ Wings

The Frank Edward Piccolo Foundation is investing in youth to help create a better world. By Sonya Hoopes

Nationally distributed publication, Success from Home magazine features Nouveau Riche and the Frank Edward Piccolo Foundation in the September 2008 issue. Giving insight into the challenges faced by America and its youth, this issue focuses on what we can all do to make a difference for ourselves and the nation. Frank Edward Piccolo Foundation President Jim Piccolo illustrates to youth that “with hope, anything is possible,” reaching out to organizations such as Help4Teenz, as well as partnering up with celebrity and well-known philanthropist William Shatner for the Starlight Starbright Foundation to bring joy to seriously ill children and their families.

Excerpt from the article:

“There are times when people need a helping hand, to make a new start or to make it through a difficult time. Businesses and organizations, too, can come to a crossroad where a helping hand can make the difference between failure and reaching new levels of success. In this situation, an “angel investor” is what the business owner or organization hopes to find.

Angel investors are venture capitalists who lend with their hearts. This investor lends because he believes in the company, its leaders and its mission. An angel investor continues to help the company meet its goals or turn the corner to profitability. Jim Piccolo, successful businessman, co-founder and CEO of Nouveau Riche, is an angel investor. He invests in companies with the intention of helping them meet their goals and become successful….

Piccolo’s approach to business mirrors his approach to life. A strong believer in “paying it forward,” Piccolo gives generously with his heart and his wallet when it comes to causes he believes in.

In 2007, Piccolo formed the Frank Edward Piccolo Foundation, a charitable foundation name for his father, who passed away in 1987 after a brief battle with cancer. Piccolo and the foundation have partnered with many well-known philanthropists with a shared desire for making a difference….

Piccolo and the Frank Edward Piccolo Foundation recently announced a new program, “I Have a Dream,” to promote charitable giving and volunteerism among children and young adults….”
